At the end of last year, The Ordinary announced it would release six new products, two being cleansers. I wasn’t thrilled as I hadn’t had great luck with their Squalane Cleanser. I love The Ordinary skincare brand. Do all of their products work for me? No. But being that they have so many products, a few fails here, and there are expected. Of all the categories of their products, though, I love their peptide serums the most! Or at least that is what I used to think until they came out with their two new cleansers.

Glucoside Foaming Cleanser is a gentle, gel-like foaming cleanser that effectively cleanses the skin while maintaining the skin’s barrier. As I have said before, I wouldn’t call it foaming; more like a few bubbles.

This formulation helps maintain the skin’s moisture barrier while improving the look of skin clarity, texture, radiance, and suppleness with continued use. It’s gentle and leaves my skin super clean, without any residue left behind. On their website, it says that the formula is suitable for babies. Now, that’s a gentle cleanser!

Glycolipid Cream Cleanser is a gentle cream cleanser that removes makeup and could be used as the first step in a double cleanse routine.

I have also used it alone as my only cleanser and love it. It does not dry out my skin or leave any product behind. It has a cooling feeling on the skin and is very lightweight.
